Ways to Volunteer with PBP
GROUP FACILITATOR
Our group facilitators are parents who have personally endured the loss of a child to homicide. They are compassionate, dedicated, and empathetic individuals committed to positively impacting the lives of grieving families. By leading our support groups, they assist families in restoring a sense of PEACE in their lives. The facilitators facilitate discussions, oversee crafts and conduct grief activities coordinated by PBP staff ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants to share and commemorate their ones.
MEAL PROVIDERS
We understand that cooking can be challenging for families during difficult times. Our meal providers offer prepared meals to PBP families immediately following the loss of a loved one and after funeral services. Additionally, our volunteers serve food at various local nonprofit events in which the organization is involved. We are currently seeking 8-8 volunteers to assist with preparation, service, and cleanup at each event.
EVENT VOLUNTEER
PBP is actively recruiting on-call volunteers to take part in various events throughout the year. We are committed to attending family-organized memorials, showcasing our steadfast support during their most challenging moments. Additionally, we confidently accompany our clients to court proceedings, ensuring they receive the support they need throughout the trial process. Join us in bringing your compassion, empathy, and positive energy to empower families on their journey toward healing.
FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEER
As our programs are offered to families at no cost, we are consistently engaged in fundraising efforts. We invite you to share your time, expertise, connections, and any additional resources that may enhance our fundraising initiatives. Your is highly valued and appreciated.
VOLUNTEER PHOTOGRAPHER
We would love for you to provide your photography skills to document an event or fundraiser, so others can visually see what we do to support our mission.
